With 160 children to feed each day, we find that we never have enough food. The children are fed but would always like something more to eat. In tough economic times we find delivering nutritional meals even more challenging. Needing more food and sometimes having to eliminate milk is all to common for us. Your donation will help feed these wonderful children.
Power, heat, hot water. Things we never take for granted at Casa Bernabe. Most months when funds are low we only have cold water for showers and often can't pay the power bill. Your donation will help keep the lights and heat on for the kids here. We promise, they will appreciate it!
Just think about having 30-40 children under the age of 4? Diapers and all of the other things babies need take so much! We are thankful for those that come and love our babies and also that offer us financial assistance to make sure they have all they need.
Can you imagine what happens when the flu or bronchitis runs through our orphanage? With so many babies and children sick our medical bills are astronomical. We also have things like birthdays and holidays to celebrate. Soccer we want our kids to play and music lessons some children beg for. Quite often these type of things can't be offered due to lack of finances. We appreciate donations to the Misc choice that allow us to keep our doors open and offer our children all of the other "misc" things they need each day!
Life has given our kids a rough start. The challenges most have had to overcome are immense - abandonment, loss, abuse, neglect, learning disabilities, the list goes on. At 18 most of our children leave CB and we want to make sure that they can take care of themselves; and that they are educated enough to care for a family and have a full-life. Our hope is their academic education and relationship with Christ allows them to be leaders in the community. The financial burden of educating these children in a vocation is too much for us to handle on our own. Please help a child to reach all God wants them to be by partnering with us. Can you picture their faces and their hearts when they get their diplomas?
Our dream is to have a site that allows more children to come to CB. We are turning down children each day and would rather they come here than their other alternatives! We also want to build a medical clinic and restaurant to help us be more sustainable and train our children in vocations. We know this will never happen without financial support from our friends like you.
