Casa Nueva Esperanza

To be fully funded monthly, each of our houses needs one House Sponsor ($2,000/month) and 12 Child and Family Sponsors ($120/month each). Casa Nueva Esperanza currently has a House Sponsor but is in need of additional Child and Family Sponsors. To see how close Casa Nueva Esperanza is to reaching full funding from Child and Family Sponsors, check the progress bar below.

The house parents in Casa Nueva Esperanza are Mario and Alejandra, along with their two-year-old son. Mario has been serving as the Director of the Transition and Vocational Programs before agreeing to take on the role of house parents this year. Alejandra also serves in the Clinic as our Dental Assistant. Although Mario and Alejandra are our newest set of house parents, they have already had the opportunity to serve the kids in their house and build rapport with them. They serve alongside house helper Caty, who has been covering various houses within the past year and helping wherever she is needed at Casa Bernabé.

The boys in this house range from 8 to 18 years old and love playing Wii and MarioKart. The younger boys also enjoy playing with marbles and building Legos. You can often find them outside in the basketball court playing various sports or chilling outside on the picnic table. They have fit into their roles as “Big Brothers” and love playing with and caring Mario and Alejandra’s little one. They love joking with each other and playfully bantering at the dinner table, talking about all the fun things they did that day.
