A Letter from Edgar Salguero to End 2025

As we celebrate Christmas and wrap up the final days of 2025, please enjoy this letter from our Casa Bernabé Director, Edgar Salguero, to all our CB family:

Just like that, another year has passed! Each year it feels like time is moving faster, but we also feel like there is so much more to do.

In 2025 God has been faithful once again. His favor and grace have been with us. It has been a year of blessing, a year of many changes and transitions, a year where we have experienced great challenges and obstacles.

This year, after many years of service at Casa Bernabé, two beloved sets of house parents finished their time with us. It has always taken us a long time to find replacement parents, leaving the children in those homes without permanent house parents in the interim. However, this year God provided both sets of parents even before the others left, allowing for a smooth and healthy transition. In these small details, we can see God's great love as a Father for His most precious children.

The needs of this world continue to grow exponentially, and sometimes we feel like we're not making much progress. The risk of this feeling is that it can discourage us and make us want to give up. Or we can decide to let it motivate us even more to continue serving in the calling God has given us. Faced with this great challenge, how will you respond?

Thankfully, by partnering with this ministry, you have chosen to be part of the solution to the need that is within your reach. On behalf of Casa Bernabé, I thank you. Thank you because the work we do at CB is impossible to do alone. Of course we need God's help, but we also rely on your prayers and financial support. Your help is so valuable and important that without it, it would be impossible for us to do this work.

We all recognize God could meet these needs without our help, which is why it's such a privilege that He has allowed us to share in His work. Each member of the Body of Christ fulfills their function, and even the smallest and seemingly insignificant member turns out to be very important. In fact, in the Kingdom of God, the least important member is often the most important!

If you think your contribution of financial support, time, or prayer is small, it's NOT! Remember, God doesn't see what man sees; He sees your heart. And if He is the reason for your contribution, you can be confident He will reward you according to His riches and promises in glory. While those divine and eternal rewards are yet to come, it is my privilege to thank you today for your participation in this beautiful ministry.

Finally, remember it is not our responsibility to solve all the problems and needs of this world – God will do that when He returns for His Church. The Bible says the poor and needy will always be among us, and there is a purpose for true Christians in that reality. In gratitude and obedience, we have the privilege and the duty to do good works and demonstrate the true Gospel to those around us.

So I encourage you to continue impacting the Kingdom of God here on earth by actively participating in the ministry of Casa Bernabé. The children, young people, and families we serve can never repay you for what you do for them, so please accept my gratitude on their behalf.

We are blessed to have you as part of our Casa Bernabé family,

Edgar Salguero
